Funicular and Restaurant Vetta (take-away service only) are in operation in full compliance with the rules of protection against Coronavirus with safety and hygiene.
Protection concept Coronavirus
Disinfectant is available at the valley and mountain station, the restaurant (take-away service only) and the museum (the museum remains closed until the 28th February by Federal Decree).
Wearing a hygiene mask in the funicular is compulsory. Children under 12 years are excluded from this obligation. Hygiene masks can be purchased at the ticket counter in Paradiso for CHF 1.50 a mask.
These protective measures make excursions as safe as possible
When travelling and on excursions, please observe the protective measures for public transport, the mountain railways and the FOPH’s hygiene regulations. The San Salvatore funicular adhere to the protection concept of the public transport industry. They rely on the personal responsibility and solidarity of their customers. The following protective measures must be taken into account:
Keep your distance when standing in line, in front of the ticket counter, in front of the funicular and when changing wagons and getting off. Form an aisle in busy places. Make sure that the distribution in the wagons is as good as possible.
Wearing a hygiene mask in the funicular and when standing in line is compulsory (children under 12 years are excluded from this obligation). The mask must cover the mouth and nose.
Hygiene masks can be purchased at the ticket counter in Paradiso for CHF 1.50 a mask.

We clean regularly
We take care of the regular cleaning of the funiculars, especially of contact surfaces. Please support us by not leaving any waste in the wagons and by disposing of the waste in the waste bins.
At the Restaurant Vetta San Salvatore (until the 28th February 2021 only take-away service) the guidelines for hygiene and protection are followed according to the protection plan for the hotel and restaurant sector during the COVID-19.
